Here's to the best year yet...

It's hard to believe that it's already another year, they seem to go by quicker every time! There's something about it being a new year that gives people a fresh outlook on life...new goals, new dreams, new beginnings. I'm so thankful for the many wonderful things that happened to me this past year. On the top of this list would be building stronger relationships with my family & friends, marrying my very best friend & of course the official launch of Heather Elizabeth Designs and being lucky enough to work with some amazing families! To say that I'm excited for the upcoming year is definitely an understatement.

Be sure to tune in for some incredible style inspiration, some of my upcoming spaces, and DIY projects (that I swear when I get two full days off I will tackle with full force)!

January, in particular, should be especially entertaining with the upcoming market at Atlanta's AmericasMart next week and it being the first month in the year that's bringing back COLOR!

Thank you to my readers & here's to a happy, healthy, and wonderful new year to all!

Happy January :)

Holiday Gift Guide...

Welcome to December!!

This is one of my favorite months out of the year and it's finally cold here in Georgia which I love! I hope that you've been getting your holiday shopping on a roll because the time will be here before you know it! This season, I.O. Metro is featuring a gift collection that I wanted to share. Here are some of my favorite picks...

Fur Throws!
These are amazingly soft and are available in ivory, rust, charcoal, turquoise, and green. I have a green throw of my own and it one of the coziest things in my house...aside from my two beagles and my husband :)

Soy Candles by Archipelago!
These puppies last for 90 hours and come in the BEST fragrances such as Hyacinth, Orange, Currant, Lemongrass, Lindenwood, Vanilla, Verbena, Arugula and Expresso. These are truly the best candles I've ever tried.

These are three of my favorites, but there are plenty to choose from.

American Fashion Designers at Home

Rajasthan

American Dior

They are also carrying some fabulous ornaments at a super affordable price (can't beat that!) Great for a shiny new present or trimming the tree!

Check out the whole collection at  http://www.iometro.com/accessories/holiday

I hope this has gotten you in the gift giving mood! Make sure to check out the entire Holiday Collection from I.O. Metro!

Gobble Gobble...

I just wanted to quickly wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I am so very thankful for my amazing husband, family, and friends on this day and every day. Make sure you tell someone how appreciative you are of them, because you never know when it might be the last chance you get.

All I know is that I plan on eating too much and drinking plenty of vino!

And it looks like my glass is empty :)

Have a fantastic day enjoying whatever company you may be keeping!

It's the first official post!

I have tons of thoughts, ideas, projects, and inspiration that I can't wait to share with you.  I will be showing you my design projects, DIY ideas, recipes, and what we're doing to make our house a "home" as well.

Let's jump to it...In the spirit of November and big dinners I figured that I would start out with some fabulous tablescapes!

Better Homes & Gardens.
Pears are all the rage this season!

This one makes me want to take in a deep breath of crisp air.
I love the fresh greenery & roses with painted pears. Simple & Elegant.

Winter white New Years dinner party?
You could also replace the pears with fresh artichokes.... love some artichokes.

A tad on the casual contemporary side.

I had to throw this classic Christmas theme in.
Doesn't this make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside?

Let's get cooking... Bon appetit :)
